Scholarship Guidelines
One of the founding principles of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® is its commitment to encouraging and cultivating high scholastic standards among young women. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has a rich history of providing young African American women with opportunities to go to college by establishing scholarships through its hundreds of chapters.
The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Epsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter, which serves Champaign, Danville, Rantoul, and Urbana, began awarding scholarships in 1960. We have awarded over $200,000 to college-bound high school seniors through our fundraising and charitable efforts, and we strive to continue this important tradition of educating our future leaders.
